MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

An important step in doing your makeup is applying concealer. Wether it is to hide bags, blemishes, redness or under eye circles, concealer is your best friend. I recently have been obsessed with the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer. All I ever wanted was a full coverage concealer for both my under eye area and my face and the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer fulfills those needs perfectly.

The MAC Pro Longwear is a lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage. It comes in a clear glass bottle and has a pump. The concealer retails for 26 canadian dollar and contains 9ml of product. Although the bottle is small, it actually lasts a really long time. The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer comes in 16 different shades and caters to every skin tone. The shade range goes from NC15 to NW50, so wether you have a more fair or darker complexion, you'll be able to find a color that suits you. I personally use the shade NC25 for my under eyes as well as on my face.

The concealer is comfortable, natural and has a matte finish. It is so light in texture yet offers high coverage.The formula blends beautifully onto the skin, but can set quite quickly so make sure you work fast with it once applied. I love the fact that this concealer can be buildable. You can add more that one layer of concealer to achieve the coverage desired, without it looking cakey and settling into fines lines. Once applied, the concealer doesn't budge throughout the day. No need to re-apply or touch up.

The MAC Pro Longwear Concealer is fragrance-free, water-resistant, dermatologist tested and as the name implies, long wearing. Wether you have dry, combination or oily skin, this concealer is suited for all skin types.

To get the best result, I pump a small amount onto the back of my hand and use a concealer brush to blend the concealer under my eye. Then using my ring finger, I like to gently press under my eye to melt the product into the skin. To finish it off, I use a setting powder to lock in the concealer. With the concealer left on my hand, I use the rest on my face to spot correct blemishes and imperfections.

The only small downfall to this concealer is with the packaging. Indeed, the nozzle of the pump dispenses a lot of product from only one pump and you can end up waisting some product as you only truly need a small amount to cover your face.

All in all, this concealer is amazing and really does last all day long. It doesn't crease later on during the day, which is one of the main concerns regarding using concealer, and leaves your skin looking flawless. I can't rave enough about how good this concealer really is. It's definitely worth trying it out for yourself, you won't regret it!
